Going "Green" is on the move.
But to go about it impulsively (which tends to be a human trait) needs to be carefully monitored so that we can really yield
the best results that reflect the intellectual capabilities we know we can design. Looking at how we live our lives on the
micro level through a green lens is going to make the biggest difference in global warming because it has the fabric to encourage
a conditioning in how we behave with our natural environment. This will be a "monkey see monkey do" effect with
the next generations. Technology and lowering our Carbon footprint with innovative renewable designs are here. We have
also learned a lot about what we have done incorrectly in the past as well as designing public administrative methods that
ensure a thorough process is implemented in the design and installation process.
There are
some new buzz words: "Dark Green", Light Green", and Bright Green" Environmentalist. Which one are you? I fall in between the light and bright.
All
the listed sites are listed as objective as possible and are links that are provided as a public
convenience and for information only. I encourage you to search on your
own and send me any suggestions that you feel fall into an objective category. I am trying to reach out to our Legislatures
to have them help in providing more comprehensive information about their "Green" decision making & activities
as they attempt to implement alternative designs to the State of Maine and beyond and respond to any concerns the public may
have. I encourage everyone to be involved with that due to how it can and will effect you and what kind of tax increases may
be a part of that. I have requested a comprehensive cost/benefit analysis simplified to a one turbine analysis as a starting
point but haven't recieved anything as of yet. I really feel like it would give the public a concrete look at what they are
investing in.

Info on Industrial Scale Turbines you might not have known.
There are a lot of things to know about industrial scale wind and how it compares to other scale models. My turbine
does not use fossil fuel at all. We spray the gears once or twice a year to keep them lubricated and running smooth, that's
it. It was asked of Andy Price from CES who owns the Freedom units, "How much fossil fuel is used?" and he stated
200 gallons per unit on an hour of operation dependency. Then they need to tap back into the grid to maintain propelling motion
when the wind is not blowing(as often times it doesn't) to protect the bearings from wear and tear due to wieght from the
rotors sitting still in one spot. This shifts the weight to avoid that damage. Also due to scale you have the concern
of appropriate placement. Our unit causes flicker issues that caused a headache for my daughter for two weeks straight before
we realized it was being caused by that light strobbing from the turbine in the morning for a couple hours. This made it a
very realistic issue for me to ask, "how far back would you need to place a 400' tower with a rotor diameter of 270'
if mine is a 50' tower sitting 180' away with a 9' rotor diameter?" Also in the assembly of the unit, in the instruction
manual it clearly tells you how to know what gauge wire you need compared to how far you go back, it gets thicker the further
you go back. So this would explain why they need this huge and very expensive upgrade to the transmission lines to accommodate
these units. Even stimulus funds from the Federal Government is getting put on the red line debt we already have, nothings
free right? I just received the comprehensive plan from John Kerry's office, Governor's Energy and Independence, and Maine's
rural demand does not exceed its in-state production and is not even predicted to projected out to the year 2016. So it is
hard not to ask why Maine is investing in this and creating impacts due to scale when we have the rural culture and lack of
demand to implement other lower impact devices and take advantage of the PUC's rebate offers to Residential, Business and
municipality level projects. Ask questions, I think we really need to be.

It
is time to communicate with your Governement again. It is hard for any Representatives
of the people to know what you hold as values and look for in your Representatives. Below I have provided key links that you
can check on anytime to review and learn your Contitutional documents which hold the language of your rights within them.
They are your rights, embrace them, become involved and share your voice. The link to the 124th Legislature is for you to
view what bills are being considered so you can contact your represenatives and become a part of the process. There
is only one way to hang on to the Values of Maine and it's culture, tell them. If you need help in formating corespondence,
please feel free to contact me on the "Contacts Page" of this web site and I'll send you a template to get you started.

Chris &
Mic, Thanks for coming
out to visit! Here are the specs on the Turbines we discussed linked below, mine is a Whisper 200, I'm thinking now
that you both may have wanted to go up and look at the ground work and how that was done. Please feel free to come again and
check that stuff out and feel free to ask what you need to when you are here to gain whatever it is while trying to get your

In the photo above (which you can click on and you can see a larger image), Is a scale
model of how different scale turbines are like next to a 16' structure. The little turbine model next to the structure
is simulating a 50ft high tower with a 9ft rotor diameter blade rated to produce 200kW a month. (I have one of these at my
home). The next one to the right is a true community scale model scaled to the structure of the left, has been placed at 150ft
with a 49.2ft rotor diameter and the last one is simulating the Industrial scale turbines at 400ft tall with a 275ft rotor
diameter.
